Lab 10: Bivariate

Lost track of time because of work all weekend :( This was going to be the start of something awesome.

Super Typhoon

I thought this was a really cool perspective of the storm from space. Not often do we get images from night, it really emphasizes the cloud/storm coverage.

Bivariate Map

This map stood out to me because of the black background with the white boundary for the country. I really liked how lightness/darkness is used to determine reliability.

Final proposal

http://www.washingtonpost.com/gog/metro-search/bars-and-clubs/Metro%20Center%20Station.html

I think it would be interesting to map bars/restaurants along the metro lines in the Northern VA/DC area based on popularity. Location of establishment along metro lines is a key factor and that would help eliminate outliers.  I want to incorporate some natural elements as well as big landmarks to better identify the area in question.
