Super Typhoon

I thought this was a really cool perspective of the storm from space. Not often do we get images from night, it really emphasizes the cloud/storm coverage.

Bivariate Map

This map stood out to me because of the black background with the white boundary for the country. I really liked how lightness/darkness is used to determine reliability.

I think it would be interesting to map bars/restaurants along the metro lines in the Northern VA/DC area based on popularity. Location of establishment along metro lines is a key factor and that would help eliminate outliers.  I want to incorporate some natural elements as well as big landmarks to better identify the area in question.

 I thought this was an interesting map how it's showing three different pieces of information using variations of contour line thickness and color.

This map jumped out to me because I had no idea from afar what I was looking at. I found it really neat how the author used scribbles to connect the different zip codes within the states.

I really liked this map, I've never seen one of the world done like this. Normally I just see the word blob maps after elections but this one jumped out to me.

This projection stood out to me because the majority of projections focus on the continents instead of the oceans. This is a projection of the gravitational ocean pulls.

This map really jumped out to me and I liked how the midwest has a purple hue to it instead of being just black.  The maps at night really show the skewed population distribution of the country.
